LAUTECH Student Caretaker Committee chairman, Mr Olabiyi Olamide Anthony has implored the whole student body to desist from violence and all sorts of actions that could jeopardize the security balance of the school community.
He said this after a panel committee sitting where an allegation of student assault was heard on 17th December, 2019.
The Students Caretaker Chairman advised students to focus on their studies and desist from all forms of violence as such actions could lead to dire consequences on their program in the university.
He said consequences of actions such as “violence, exam malpractices, sexual harassment” and the likes should be totally avoided by the students as they put their studentship in jeopardy.
“Vices like violence, assaults, exam malpractices and the likes has consequences. I will advise students to go through their handbook because every offence has its consequences stated in the school handbook. So it’s better you are aware beforehand so that you know if you do this, this is what will happen. There is nothing you do on campus that is not having its consequences stated in the student handbook” the students Caretaker Chairman stated.
He further warned the newly admitted students to adhere by the directive of the school management as regards class representative elections which is to be put on hold for now.
He said any student found working against the school peaceful atmosphere shall be made to face the consequences.
“The management is not going to slow down to take any action on culprits. All students on campus should listen to the directive of the school. Face your studies and have a wonderful semester” he concluded.
