Adekunle Samuel is a 500L student of LAUTECH. He is also a tutor, media personality, educational consultant who has a good academic record in the department of Anatomy. In this interview, he shared exclusively how he has been sustaining his academic distinctiveness with other activities.
Who is Adekunle Samuel Blessing? Brief Introduction.
I am Adekunle Samuel Blessing, a 500l student of the Anatomy department, LAUTECH. I am a tutor and also an educational consultant.
What is your motivation to be a tutor?
My motivation for being a tutor is from my passion of sharing knowledge to others. Also, one of my major spurring for being a tutor was from secondary school, I was the literary and debate prefect, which made me develop the energy and stand in people’s front to impact them.
How did you start your journey as a Tutor on Campus?
When I gained admission into LAUTECH, I studied the environment carefully. My careful observation in 200l ,made me realize that the only thing that can make me stand in front of people to impact knowledge is being a Tutor. Then, I started by explaining lectures to a few of my friends, till it was extended to other students.
What are the challenges you have encountered so far in your journey?
One of the challenges I encountered is trying to get students. Because, there’s a lot of tutorials on campus. So, making students attend my tutorial is quite challenging. However, one of the challenging moments for me was when my CGPA dropped even though I prioritize my academic activities over other things. I had to sit tight to make it up, and sacrificed several hours of my day and nights to study and plan for tutorials.
How are you able to overcome the challenges?
With hardwork and dedication towards the tutorial, I have been able to build a well learning center where I won’t be doing much striving before I can get students. I also developed new systems of time management, with this I have been able to plan my time accordingly and balance things without affecting my social life .
What are your achievements so far ?
I feel so fulfilled seeing myself making impacts in people’s lives. From humanity service to leadership roles, to getting the grades I want is one of my biggest achievements so far. Also, being awarded THE BEST MALE PERSONALITY in the department of Anatomy, and “CAMPUS HUMANITARIAN OF THE YEAR” by the students union government of LAUTECH led by Adeboye anuoluwa was one of the heights for me.
