LAUTECH V.C Donates 2 million to Development of Research Laboratory

The Vice Chancellor of LAUTECH, Prof. M.O Ologunde in his opening speech at the opening ceremony of the 5th anniversary of the LAUTECH Nanotechnology research group held in the school campus at The Hall on 23rd of October 2019 announced that on behalf of the school management a sum of 2 million naira will be donated to the centre of research laboratory of the institution. He also encouraged the organisation of more of such conferences and promises that the school will always be ready to assist with funding.

Also speaking at the event, the Minister of Science and Technology ably represented by Dr. Kelechi said the only thing which is clear with no contention is that LAUTECH is the school of Nanotechnology. He went further to describe LAUTECH as the future of Nanotechnology.

Other dignitaries at the event included erudite Professor of Biology department, Prof. Julius Kola Oloke, activist professor, Prof. Olorode Omotoye, members of the school’s governing council, Chairman Committee of Dean and Provost, also the Dean of the Faculty of Pure and Applied Sciences Prof. Abiodun Ladipo, chairman LAUTECH branch of NAT, Mr Wasiu Sanusi and the General Secretary for LAUTECH branch of ASUU, Dr. Abegunrin of the department of GNS.
