Black day in the Ladoke Akintola University Of Technology, as some final year accounting students, who recently concluded their first semester examination was involved in a fatal accident on their way back from an excursion.
The students left ogbomosho for Erin ijesha waterfall, osun state in the early hours of Wednesday, 27th September, 2023, with two buses conveying them to their destination.
Unfortunately, on their way back to Ogbomosho, one of two buses reportedly caught fire along Osogbo/Oyo road near Ojutu bridge, llobu. It is also noteworthy that residents and other students call for medical assistance immediately.
As at the time of report, the driver of the bus is reportedly dead and two students, a male and a female are reportedly dead. One of the students is in critical condition and has been transferred to UCH, Ibadan.
There is no exact number of students receiving treatment at the university teaching hospital Osogbo, while some are also being attended to, at Bowen teaching hospital.
