The Leadership of Ladoke Akintola University of Technology Health Centre on Friday, August 19, announced the commencement of a skeletal health care delivery system. This announcement stem from an agreement between the Joint Action Committee of non-teaching unions(SANNU, NAT, &NASU) and the Health Centre leadership.
A statement signed by the Director of Medical Services, Dr. Sola Onawumi and sent to the university community stated that the University Health Centre will be open on weekdays between 9:00 am and 12:00noon. No service will be delivered during the weekend.
It reads, “This is to inform members of the University Community that the Health Centre leadership, with the agreement of the Joint Action Committee of non-teaching unions (SANNU, NAT & NASU) and the University management has commensed skeletal Health care delivery operations during the ongoing industrial action of union at the hospital facility.”
“Health care delivery on weekdays takes place between 9:00 am and 12:00noon. No service will be delivered over the weekend.
“You are welcomed as you take personal responsibility to access medical care when you or any of your wards is feeling sick.”
