I can’t forget my first day in LAUTECH. That very day I visited the University Medical Center, popularly called Health Center. It was interesting as my cousin gave me a tour from the medical centre down to Adenike Area.
Of the many registration phases, the first one for me was medical registration. Only Ladokites who have gone through the process can explain how tedious it is.
On the first day of registration, I visited with the intention to be done with it before the day runs out. But, it was to no avail. That didn’t reduce even the stress I went through on the queue. By the end of the day, I was frustrated.
I returned the following day to join the queue again, but still, I was unable to do it. Would you believe that I struggled with this medical registration for weeks before I was able to do it successfully?
With time, I found the secret. Waking up early and arriving there as early as possible. The other registrations were stress-free for me because then, I knew the secret. For any registration, do it early before other people turn up.
This technique was what I applied during biometrics too. Two weeks after I did mine easily, my friends had to go through a strenuous process for theirs.
For the second semester though, I slipped! I resumed school a week after the commencement of lectures. On getting to where I am to buy PASSA Pack, the whole place was crowded, and I knew I had no chance.
Due to my little experience in the first semester, I got there very early the following day and was able to leave at around 3 pm. If I had known how things are going to be that day, I would have eaten very well. But the good news is that I was able to get it!
Although stressful and not easy at all, registrations are important. If you are a 100L student and you are passing through the stress, it is normal. It is something most staylites have passed through. Now is the best time to do your registrations.
