“Book is hard” is a statement often heard and said. Still, with the influx of student in lecture halls in LAUTECH poring over voluminous textbooks and, most times, the lecturer-imposed handouts at the beginning of every semester, you start questioning if book is really hard or you are just not serious with your life.
But, when you look closely, there has been a downward trend in the number of students you see in the evening in school or night class. We could say people are more concerned about making money; the school power supply has spiralled down, there is constant rain, mostly at night, a killer of reading momentum. We could also argue that some departments have been having epileptic classes, dampening the students’ general reading morale, or we could just say most people just lack the enthusiasm.
Whatever everyone’s reason might be, or whatever category you may belong to, we all know LAUTECH no longer backtrack when it comes to sticking to exam timetables. So the sooner we up our reading game, the better for all of us.
Morale might be down, but no, school won’t wait for you to get your enthusiasm back.
