LAUTECH DSA, Student Entrepreneurs, Creatives and Others Bag Awards at 2021 CABE Awards
The award ceremony which took place at The Hall, LAUTECH was a celebration to recognise outstanding students, staff and alumni of the institution. Although the event started later than stipulated, the activities at the event made it worthwhile and memorable.
One of the nominees who also attended the event said,”The experience was lit. I haven’t been so close to victory. Even though I did not win, being the first runner up with 591 votes gave me the encouragement I needed”.
Divided based on categories, the event had 4 sections hosted by different sets of people. It saw the recognition of nominated student entrepreneurs, creatives, academics and entertainers.
The Chairman of LAUTECH’s Caretaker community, Olamide Anthony, who was also in attendance, used the opportunity to admonish students and advise them on how to maintain a good student-life balance. He further awarded top participants of the 100 level tutorial and mock.
One of the organisers, Timi said, “Although the award ceremony wasn’t our expectation, given that it was the first edition, we thank God. We’ll keep going, putting in more and trying our best”.
