On Tuesday, March 1, LAUTECH’s Ag. Vice-Chancellor, Professor Mojeed Olaide Liasu was officially presented the trophy won by LAUTECH Students at the second edition of the All-Nigerian Universities Quiz Challenge.
The 9th edition of the All-Nigerian Universities Debating Championship (ANUDC) and the 2nd edition of the All-Nigerian Universities Quiz Challenge (ANUQC) took place at the University of Ilorin between 13th and 19th of February, 2022. The contests saw over 23 universities from across Nigeria compete in the quiz, debate and public speaking competitions. During the gala night/dinner which marked the end of the contest, LAUTECH was announced the winner of the 2022 Edition of the ANUQC.
For the Quiz Challenge, LAUTECH occupied the first position with 270 points, BOWEN, the second position with 250 points, while UNILAG occupied the third position.
During the presentation of trophy led my the Dean of Student Affairs, Prof. Azeem Ige, and his Deputy, the Ag. VC stated that he was proud of the team’s achievement and advised that they continue to be trailblazers.
He said that unconfirmed sources often attribute bad news with the name, LAUTECH, however good achievements from relevant sources will continue to prevail over this.
