With the current rise in the number of vehicles and decrease in the number of road bumps and pedestrian walkways in the university and its vicinity, one cannot walk around campus without sticking close to the side drainage or without constantly looking over one’s shoulder just because one might get run over by a speeding vehicle.
A place meant to be a safe space for students is looking like the abridged version of mad max fury.
There are speed limits indeed, but only a minority seem to be paying any attention.
The solutions are inherently obvious: road bumps, clearer signs, and speed limit officers that would arrest offenders. But till then, the one million dollar advice is always to “stick very close to the drainage”
