LAUTECH ASUU to Give Update on Strike Soon

The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU), LAUTECH chapter has joined their counterparts in other universities in the four-week nationwide strike.

In a statement released by the SUG LAUTECH today; “ASUU LAUTECH has finally joined the national strike. It’s a one month warning strike”

On Monday, 7th February, 2022 LAUTECH ASUU chairman confirmed that ASUU will go on strike if no action is yet to be taken by the Federal Government before February 13.

The member of the union National Executive Council were in a marathon meeting, which commenced on Saturday, February 12, and ended with the announcement of a warning strike on Monday, February 14, 2022.

The union national chairman, Prof. Emmanuel Osodeke, confirmed the warning strike will last for four weeks at a press conference.

One of our correspondents spoke with the LAUTECH ASUU Chairman, Dr Olaniran on the chapter’s decision on the strike as classes are still going on in the institution, he stated that LAUTECH ASUU decision on the warning strike will be known to everyone soon.
