+ LAUTECH has officially inaugurated a new VC and other Principal officers. The VC, Prof Michael Ologunde (the first internal VC to ever govern LAUTECH), was sworn in alongside the new Registrar Dr. K.A Ogunleye Bursar Mr Yomi Okedeji. The ceremony began with a Thanksgiving prayer at the University mosque on Friday and another at the University chapel on Sunday, followed by the handing over ceremony on Wednesday, and ended yesterday, with the inauguration ceremony proper. – Gentle Soul reporting for UCJ LAUTECH
+ On his promises for his tenure, the VC said there will be schemed work study for the students, to improve academic performance, better internet and research facilities. Some other promises (via The Independent);
- “barring industrial strike in the five years that the law permits him to be in charge”
- “ensuring that workers are paid as at when due”
- “explore new areas of generating revenue for the University while pursuing avenues for the owners states government to continually see reasons for regular release of subvention”

+ Students stranded in parks as election nears. From Taki to Starlite and Seminary, loads of students were seen hanging around waiting for buses to arrive. Only a few buses were seen around and the available ones were filled to the brim. – Realm reporting for UCJ LAUTECH
