The freshers’ week which commenced on 31st of January, 2020 with Jumat service at the School’s central mosque followed by a church service at LAUTECH Chapel on the 2nd of February continued today with the freshers’ orientation programme which involved the interaction of freshers with the university community.
The event which took place at The Great Hall had thousands of fresh students in attendance and was graced by the University’s Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Michael Ologunde, the registrar, Dr K. A. Ogunleye, the chairman, Students’ Union Executive Caretaker Committee, Olabiyi Anthony and other various university officials.
The students were instructed on how to go about with their registrations and were encouraged to contact the appropriate officials should any problem arise.
Students were advised to desist from examination malpractice throughout their stay on campus as it can ruin not just their academic life but other aspects of their life as well.
Different organizations on campus which have been known for their various positive contributions in students were also around to create awareness about what their organizations are about and inform the students of the benefit they tend to gain by joining these organizations.
